SHUMWAY RESIDENCE is an oceanfront dwelling with examples of unusual design features. The mahogany-wrapped deck represents a wave, and required extensive framing and intricate trim work. Two unique interior stairwells evoke intrigue. The sophisticated railing accessing the kitchen was custom made from multiple hardwood sections and assembled as a congruous design. A more whimsical approach was taken with the inquisitive stairwell leading to the attic.
